I’ve been playing a lot with ChatGPT. And I’ve had a lot of conversations about it’s value. Will it take over the human race… will more people lose their jobs…. what is the future of X industry…

I think - so far - that this is a great tool.

BUT… it needs to be in the hands of those with ethics, creativity, emotional and social intelligence - and then can be a game changer.

The saying "knowledge without wisdom is like water in the sand" implies that having knowledge without the ability to apply it wisely is of little use, just as water poured onto sand has no lasting impact or benefit. The water will quickly be absorbed by the sand and will not have any lasting effect. In the same way, knowledge without wisdom will not result in meaningful actions or solutions.

Example 1: A student who has memorized a vast amount of information but lacks the wisdom to understand the context in which it should be applied will find that their knowledge is not useful in real-world situations.

Example 2: An engineer who has extensive technical knowledge but lacks the wisdom to understand how to apply it in a ethical manner may create designs that harm the environment or exploit others.

Humorous Example: A person who has memorized every single joke they have ever heard but lacks the wisdom to know when and where to tell it, may find themselves in awkward situations where their jokes fall flat and they offend others.

How can you use it? That’s a topic for another day.

Using tools to streamline its use? That’s a topic for another day.

Is it amazing? Yes.

Is it a game-changer? Certainly.
